Unfair play ?

Recommended Posts

Location: Our shop - Storage Solutions and furniture in the town square

Time and date of the event: aroung 3 pm GMT

In-game name and allies involved: none i was alone when it happened

Name of suspect(s): unknown

Proof or evidence of the discrepancy:

Detailed description of the events: I was in our shop when two ISF officers approached and said they needed to carry out a routine inspection , so being the law abiding citizen i am i opened up and let them in , they then put me in hand cuffs for their safety and said they were taking the bench , it was then i realised something was up but i could do nothing , they then preceded to dismantle the workbench and take it along with over 7000 credits , a 4 door military locker , over 130 metal scrap , 2 pairs of aviators and some other items after escorting me to a shed out the back and leaving me there.

It was a good heist by them and i myself am not salty about it , but i felt forced into this situation i had way of knowing if they were isf or not and had to comply or be killed and i value my life , someone more versed in these things suggested that i make a report about it not to get anyone into trouble but to highlight the issue of people impersonating isf when there are none online , thanks and enjoy the loots x

Nothing wrong with what we did. We manage to get ahold of a full set of ISF gear and used it to impersonate ISF troopers inorder to rob the store. This was all done within roleplay

I don't see the point of giving a full POV as no rules were broken on our end. This was an RP situation

Pov -

We acquired ISF uniform from dead and unconscious ISF that were involved in previous altercations with our gang.

We used the uniform to go undercover and further our criminal enterprise.

We lied and cheated our way onto the store as my character learned from being part of the CLA that SIU used similar tactics to bring down his group. My character is CLA that had survived the onslaught and his reasons for going undercover was to disrupt the infrastructure and way of life in the bastion under the ISF rule. Not even the group I accociate with now knows my characters motives icly.

We stole everything we could, my character seen that we had crippled an OIM sanctioned business and we gained a boatload of funds.

I see no unfair play. There is a whole part of the ISF that is there for undercover operations, to persecute us for unfair play would be to single us out for things that already happen In game as part of a server function.

I am sorry that Bob here took the brunt of it, but by owning a successful business leaves you open to all sorts of nasty people. This should be solved icly with the ISF so that It never happens again.

@Kaben @Monkey Spanners @Kestrel @Nothing im not looking for to get you's into trouble or hold anything against you's and i hav been playing it out in character , but when i told someone in game with alot more knowledge about the rules than me (im relatively new to RP)  they strongly suggested that i make a report about it here so admins or whoever can look over what happened and maybe implement something for in the future

POV:

My character was asking about storage containers and prices while 2 "ISF troopers" entered the building and asked to be let into a building for an inspection.

After the doors were left open and Bob was in handcuffs my character went inside and stole 2 truck batteries and one gucci belt.

So, I think this situation was played out fantastically by the accused. They used there ISF uniforms in a unique way, and made an interesting scenario. A few potential blots that make it less great:

  • There is no real good way for the average player to determain if the person in front of them is ISF for real or not
  • The robbery was done when the REAL ISF where not online in force.

However, neither of these not great things listed are rule breaks, and it would be stretching to call this "unfair play". It might be a tad unfair, but its not the accused fault as there are no current rules or guidelines around this sort of scenario. The Staff team will have to take some time to consider if we should amend the rules around impersonation or not. But as the rules stand the Accused here did a fun robbery scenario, that I feel should be applauded. the timing of the robbery is the only "Meh" thing.

Verdict:

 @Nothing @Kaben @Monkey Spanners @Kestrel | Unfair Play | Not Guilty
